Smashing a pinata is the highlight of any party! Making your own pinata at home saves money and allows custom theme shapes.
1. Gather Simple Materials
You need: cereal box cardboard, masking tape, scissors, crepe paper rolls, flour-and-water paste, rope, and wrapped candies.
2. Build the Cardboard Frame & Trap Door
Cut out two identical numbers, stars, or superhero shapes. Tape a 4-inch wide strip of cardboard around the edges, leaving a trapdoor at the top to fill candy.
3. Fringe Crepe Paper Layers
Cut crepe paper into 2-inch wide strips, snip fringe slits along one edge, and glue bottom-to-top in overlapping rows for a fluffy texture!
